RECORD STORE DAY 2025 in Carson City?

We get asked pretty often if we're participating in Record Store Day.

At least for 2025, we will not be an official Record Store Day location. We asked them about that last year, and they said "Welcome!" We were very excited. But an hour later, they wrote back and said "sorry, never mind. That was a mistake. No." We replied and asked why, but they never replied back, they just ghosted us. Who is "they?" well, we aren't really sure because they operate in the shadows, apparently. We gave up on shadowy cartels and being ghosted by people we wanted to be friends with a long time ago but who knows, maybe someday they'll decide they like us and we can start over. Help us respect our boundaries by coming to visit your local independent record store on Record Store Day anyway!

After all, we do carry new releases each and every week, and we still love the spirit of the music industry's favorite holiday, so of course we are doing a little something to celebrate.

We will have HUNDREDS of rare and highly collectible records available in our shop for sale on Saturday that have never been seen by our customers before Saturday April 12th, 2025.

A select few of these rare/collectible records are on the expensive side, for example we'll have an original 1st pressing of the 1983 Misfits record Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood. But the vast majority of amazing records that will be in the shop for the first time on Saturday are really quite affordable, often in the $15-25 range, and considerably less common than most of the records that are in our vertical files.

We do completely understand if you're trying to get your hands on some OFFICIAL 2025 Record Store Day releases, and if so, we'd recommend trying Recycled Records up in Reno on Kietzke Lane. Our friends at 180 gram records on Wells Avenue are another great shop in Reno who are not officially a part of the RSD event but like us here at Tiger Rose, they will be celebrating by "bringing out the big guns" from 9am to 2pm.

If you wanted to spend this so-called holiday doing a record store hop, You might be able to visit all three shops!

Come visit us and let's celebrate Record Store Day together!

We're open 11am - 7PM Saturday
